Daniel Fictum

Daniel Fictum is a dynamic life coach who uses his skills and experiences to work with clients to reach their fullest potential. As a success coach he works with clients to clarify their goals and dreams as well as assisting them to discover how they can get to this end. Daniel Fictum coaches for the premise that as individuals we all have vast amounts of untapped potential and that through coaching and clarification we can become more than we ever thought. He works in partnership with his clients as they move along their journey.

Daniel Fictum has studied with CoachU, one of the first and premier schools of coaching. In addition, Daniel holds a Master’s of Arts degree from Teachers College, Columbia Uiversity and a Master’s of Fine Art from City College of New York-CUNY. He continues to improve his skills through ongoing training and course work. He also advances his knowledge and professionalism through involvement with the New York Chapter of the International Coaching Federation, where he is the Director of Publications, and the Gay Coaching Alliance. In addition to coaching his experiences have included working with a variety of college environments from small private liberal arts colleges to major state universities to selective specialized colleges. He has worked with both urban and rural populations.

Daniel Fictum has developed his skills and expertise from over 25 years professional experience mentoring and coaching college students to discover their potential as leaders and as outstanding individuals. He has assisted students discover their untapped possibilities at Ivy League colleges, state and city colleges, and professional schools. During this time he gained accolades as a professional who is able to guide and inspirer individual students and groups to reach goals that they thought were not possible. He is a champion of the attitude that one should not limit one’s self with self imposed boundaries. He has gained the reputation as an outstanding facilitator for his presentations in the classroom and at national and international professional conferences such as the American College Personnel Association and the International Conference on the First Year Student. He has presented to college students, members of the not-for-profit sector, and for colleagues.

Daniel grew up in rural Nebraska on a working family farm where he gained an appreciation for nature and the cycle-of-life. He has traveled extensively throughout the United States. He has developed a special love for the Hawaiian Islands were he aspires to live part-time when not in New York City. He is also an photographer who’s work can be seen on Instagram at @artistkane.

Daniel is based in New York City at 171 Madison Avenue in Manhattan where he sees clients. His services are available in-person, on-site, or via video chat throughout the world.
