Jeff Nally

My passion is coaching humans at work - especially leaders and employees in organizations. I've been there, too, as a gay professional in the corporate world. Jeff Nally is an executive coach, coaching supervisor, professional speaker, and author who creates no-nonsense neuroscience solutions with leaders to be more human at work and in life. Jeff is the president of Nally Group Inc., a practice focused on the science of leadership and human interaction.

Jeff is a nationally recognized speaker who keynotes at conferences and corporate events. He has 29 years of professional experience in human resources, executive coaching, professional speaking, and leadership development.

Jeff created and led the Executive Coaching Practice at Humana, Inc. where he coached over 400 senior leaders, established Humana’s Women in Leadership Group Coaching Program, and co-created the company's first LGBTQ Employee Resource Group.

He led human resources at manufacturing companies including Commonwealth Aluminum, Commonwealth Industries, and CLARCOR Air Filtration Products. Jeff was the executive director at two not-for-profit organizations including The Community Health Trust operating homeless shelters for people with HIV/AIDS, and The Citizens Committee on Education increasing high school graduation rates and college enrollments. 

Jeff is the Vice President of the Global Coach Community at CoachSource where he develops and engages over 1,100 external coaches as they are connected to executive coaching engagements in corporations around the world.

Jeff is a co-author of Rethinking Human Resources, and Humans@Work with other HR and coaching thought leaders. Amazon.com sales of both books benefit scholarships for HR professionals through The SHRM Foundation. 

Jeff earned a BA in Psychology from Georgetown College and an MBA from Georgia State University.

Jeff is a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation, a Results Professional Certified Coach through The NeuroLeadership Group, and he graduated with distinction with a Certificate in the Foundations of Neuroleadership from The Neuroleadership Institute. He earned a coaching supervision certification and leads reflective practice as professional development with coaches. 

He is a Senior Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resource Management and a professional member of the National Speakers Association.

Jeff volunteers to advance the HR and coaching professions.

Jeff volunteers as a board member at The Society for Human Resource Management Foundation and serves on the executive committee at the Gay Coaches Alliance.

He is a past chair of the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management State Council and a past president of Louisville SHRM. Jeff is a former board member at Metro United Way, The ICF Ohio Valley Charter Chapter, Spalding University’s School of Business Advisory Board, and Stand Beside Them Inc., where he volunteers to coach military veterans.  

Jeff was named one of the top Twenty People to Know in Human Resources by Business First of Louisville and is the 2021 recipient of the Thomas J. Leonard Coach Humanitarian Award.
